They support a well-managed and healthy northern pike and walleye population. In these Canadian waters, the northern pike is its dominant ruler. Fishing them is fairly easy as they feast continuously. Lucky walleyes can mature to be some of the biggest on record. Fly fishing anglers can enjoy secluded expeditions to trophy brook trout that flourish in many of our rivers and streams. They can occasionally be fished in smaller lakes throughout the James Bay Frontier.

As a conservation measure to protect our trophy pike in Stringer Lake, Barlock Lake and Yesterday Lake, single barbless hooks can be usedonly.
