Ice Fishing on Lillebelle Lake

The winters are long in the James Bay Frontier but the pike don't seem to mind. Lillabelle Lake Resort is the ideal spot for this winter's ice fishing excursion. The lake is immediately adjacent to our lodge so it is no problem to pull an ice hut onto the lake for you. We can provide you with a hot or cold lunch at a reasonable cost, show you the good spots, bore your holes and even clean your fish when you are through. Winter's perfect getaway.

For the serious James Bay Frontier adventurers challenging Canada's most breath taking waterways, we offer shuttle service from the Cochrane lodge, airport or Ontario Northland Train Station to your landing destinations. From any of our landing locations, you can begin your exhilarating journeys up north to Moosonee and beyond. You won't have to worry about canoeing back upstream to Cochrane because the Polar Bear Express train has a special " canoe car " ready to help you home. We'll take you to either the Missinabi, Groundhog, Mattagami, Abitibi, Little Thorning, Little Abitibi, Katawagami, Missinabi or Hurricani Rivers where your Northern Ontario outdoors adventures will begin. If you come in your own vehicle, we'll drive it back to our lodge for safe keeping and pick you up at the end of your trip.
